Dump Truck Operator

About the role

The Dump Truck Operator will support mining operations at the Sukari gold mine, transporting ore and waste materials safely to designated stockpiles. The role involves operating dump trucks, performing routine inspections, and ensuring compliance with safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Promote and adhere to safety standards, procedures, and practices.
• Conduct pre‑start safety checks on equipment before operation.
• Report equipment faults promptly to the supervisor and dispatch.
• Operate the dump truck in compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Transport ore and waste materials safely to designated stockpiles and dumps.
• Optimize efficiency by minimizing spotting, maneuvering, dumping, and refueling times.
• Coordinate with excavator operators to ensure trucks are loaded to optimal capacity.
• Operate modular systems in line with operational standards.
• Respond promptly to dispatch instructions.
• Follow lawful production instructions.

Required profile

• Educational degree (field not specified).
• Minimum 5 years experience operating heavy trucks.
• Experience in manufacturing, construction, mining, or oil & gas sectors.
• Valid heavy‑truck driver’s licence; dump‑truck licence preferred.
