EHS Specialist – Safety & Compliance Lead

About the role

As an EHS Specialist at Siemens Energy, you will champion a proactive safety culture within the Gas Services division, focusing on power generation and decarbonisation projects. You will lead risk‑assessment initiatives, deliver training, and ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and company standards.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct on‑site safety instructions, toolbox talks and in‑house training sessions.
• Perform daily inspections, monitor PPE usage and verify alignment with Siemens and IFC regulations.
• Carry out comprehensive risk assessments, report incidents and implement preventive actions.
• Coordinate first‑aid provision and maintain accurate safety documentation.
• Prepare and submit weekly safety reports to the EHS department.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of occupational health and safety experience, preferably in power generation.
• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Physics, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Familiarity with health and safety management systems and certifications such as ISO 45001, ISO 14001, NEBOSH IGC.
• Strong communication skills for training and stakeholder engagement.
• Detail‑oriented approach to documentation and compliance.
