Electrical Field Service Engineer

About the role

Syntegon Technology is seeking an Electrical Field Service Engineer to support the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of its packaging equipment worldwide. The role focuses on delivering high‑quality technical service and training to ensure customer satisfaction and drive business growth.

Key responsibilities

• Perform electrical installation, assembly, startup, and commissioning at Syntegon and customer sites, including modernization upgrades.
• Troubleshoot and carry out preventative maintenance on packaging machinery.
• Train customers on operation, updates, maintenance, and safety procedures.
• Represent the company professionally with customers and internal teams.
• Maintain organized work environments and adhere to safety regulations.
• Prepare detailed expense and trip reports after each service visit.
• Travel up to 80% of the time, both domestically and internationally.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Automation Engineering.
• 3‑5 years of experience in the packaging industry or similar automated industrial equipment.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and capacity to work independently.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
