Electrical & Instrumentation QC Engineer

About the role

Archirodon, an international EPC contractor active for more than half a century in energy, marine, infrastructure and defence and security projects, is looking for a reliable and highly motivated Electrical QC Engineer to join its Quality team for a major project in Egypt. The position is full-time.

Key responsibilities

• Review project technical specifications, drawings and BOQs to identify quality, engineering and testing requirements for electrical and instrumentation works.
• Assist in preparing and reviewing quality documentation such as Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), method statements and inspection procedures.
• Monitor all phases of electrical and instrumentation works, including procurement, installation, testing and commissioning, and ensure approved methods and ITPs are implemented.
• Manage and coordinate inspection and testing activities, and coordinate with third-party testing and inspection agencies.
• Identify and follow up on non-conformances, raise NCRs where needed and track corrective actions to close-out.
• Monitor punch-list close-out and ensure measuring and testing instruments are properly calibrated.
• Attend and witness client inspections, support quality audits of subcontractors and suppliers, and help prepare final quality documentation and system commissioning.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 3-6 years of experience in quality control of electrical systems, preferably in the construction industry.
• Strong experience in electrical inspection, testing, installation and commissioning.
• Good understanding of electrical and instrumentation works and their testing requirements.
• Very good command of English.

Required skills

• Solid knowledge of ITPs, method statements, NCRs, quality records and inspection procedures.
• Thorough knowledge of international codes and standards such as NEC, NFPA, IEEE and IEC.
• Attention to detail, analytical thinking and proactive follow-up on quality issues.
• Ability to coordinate with construction teams, subcontractors, suppliers and client representatives.
