Electrical Maintenance Engineer

About the role

Join AL DAHRA AGRICULTURAL as an Electrical Maintenance Engineer in the Farming Division at Toshka. The role ensures the reliability, safety, and efficiency of electrical systems that support agricultural operations.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance for electrical systems and equipment across the agricultural project.
• Troubleshoot electrical faults in motors, pumps, generators, MCCs, VFDs, transformers, and control panels.
• Ensure reliable operation of irrigation systems, pivots, and water pumping stations.
• Monitor electrical equipment performance and minimize downtime.
• Support maintenance of power distribution systems including MV/LV networks.
• Assist in operation and maintenance of solar power systems, if applicable.
• Inspect electrical installations and ensure compliance with safety standards and company procedures.
• Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Coordinate with technicians, supervisors, and contractors during maintenance activities.
• Prepare maintenance reports, breakdown analysis, and spare parts requirements.
• Respond quickly to emergency electrical breakdowns and operational issues.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance reliability and energy efficiency.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 2–5 years of experience in electrical maintenance.
• Experience in agricultural, irrigation, industrial, utilities, or infrastructure projects (preferred).
• Valid driving license.

Required skills

• Motors, generators, transformers, VFDs, MCCs, and control panels.
• Irrigation systems and pumping stations (advantage).
• Basic knowledge of PLC and automation systems (preferred).
• Ability to read electrical drawings, schematics, and technical manuals.
