Electronics Buyer

About the role

Methode Electronics is seeking an experienced Electronics Buyer to manage end‑to‑end procurement of direct electronic materials. You will work closely with engineering, quality, and planning teams to ensure the right components are sourced at the right cost, quality, and delivery schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Source, evaluate, and develop suppliers in line with cost, quality, and delivery targets.
• Lead price negotiations and contract discussions to achieve cost optimisation.
• Support localisation and risk‑mitigation strategies for supply chains in Egypt and Malta.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, and Planning on new projects and product changes.
• Monitor supplier performance and drive continuous‑improvement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and ethical standards.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Buyer or Procurement Specialist handling electronics direct materials.
• Strong background in the automotive and/or home‑appliances industries (mandatory).
• Solid understanding of electronic components, BOM structures, and supplier markets.
• Experience working with global and regional suppliers.
• Excellent negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a cross‑functional and multicultural environment.
