About the role
Hitachi Rail GTS Egypt is looking for motivated software engineers with strong technical foundations to join its embedded and safety-critical software development team in Cairo. Candidates from Automotive, Telecom, Industrial Automation, SCADA, Embedded Systems or similar fields are welcome.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and maintain software modules using C/C++
- Take part in software integration and testing activities
- Investigate and resolve software defects
- Contribute to technical documentation
- Work closely with senior engineers and technical leads
Required profile
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electronics Engineering or equivalent
- Good knowledge of C/C++ programming
- Understanding of embedded systems fundamentals
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good English communication skills
- Strong willingness to learn new technologies
Desirable requirements
- Experience in embedded software development
- Knowledge of RTOS environments
- Familiarity with software testing methodologies
- Exposure to Automotive, Telecom, Aerospace, Industrial Control or SCADA systems
- Basic knowledge of railway systems
A comprehensive onboarding and technical development program covers railway applications, ETCS fundamentals, safety-critical development practices and company engineering processes.
