About the role
The Louisiana State University of Alexandria invites applications for the Alexandria Business Foundation Endowed Chair in Accounting. This full‑time faculty position focuses on undergraduate teaching, student advising, and advancing the accounting program through research and community partnerships.
Key responsibilities
- Teach 9 credit hours per semester across face‑to‑face, online, and hybrid formats.
- Maintain academic accreditation standards (ACBSP) and contribute to curriculum development.
- Advise and mentor accounting students, supporting their academic and professional growth.
- Engage in departmental, university, and community service activities.
- Develop and sustain partnerships with local businesses to address the regional shortage of accounting graduates.
- Promote innovative teaching methods and assessment techniques.
- Conduct scholarly research that informs current accounting practice and enhances student learning.
Required profile
- Qualified academic credentials for a faculty role in accounting.
- Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in the classroom.
- Ability to contribute to the strategic goals of the College of Business.
- Experience in curriculum design, student advising, and community outreach.
