Events Operations Section Head

About the role

Legacy, a Hassan Allam Holding company, is seeking an experienced Events Operations Section Head to lead the planning, coordination and delivery of the Grand Egyptian Museum's diverse events portfolio. The role combines strategic calendar management with hands‑on execution of cultural programs, corporate events, private functions and large‑scale institutional occasions.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the full lifecycle of events from concept through on‑ground delivery and post‑event evaluation.
• Develop and maintain an annual events calendar aligned with GEM’s strategic, cultural and commercial objectives.
• Coordinate with Partnerships, Marketing, Operations and Facilities to ensure seamless event delivery.
• Manage event budgets, resource allocation and vendor relationships to achieve cost‑effective, high‑quality outcomes.
• Establish and enforce SOPs, quality benchmarks and safety protocols for all events.
• Prepare event briefs, run‑of‑show documents, post‑event reports and performance assessments.
• Serve as primary escalation point for on‑ground issues, ensuring swift resolution.
• Identify opportunities to grow and diversify GEM’s events offering in line with institutional priorities.

Required profile

• 5–7 years of experience in events management, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or team‑lead capacity.
• Proven track record delivering complex, multi‑stakeholder events end‑to‑end.
• Strong leadership, organizational and project‑management abilities.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Fluency in Arabic and English.
• Experience in cultural institutions, hospitality, entertainment or large‑scale venue management is strongly preferred.
