Executive Chef

About the role

The Executive Chef will lead all kitchen and stewarding operations at the Royal Maxim Palace Kempinski in Cairo, ensuring the highest standards of hygiene, food quality, and guest satisfaction. This senior position combines culinary creativity with strong operational management and talent development responsibilities.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily kitchen and stewarding activities, maintaining strict hygienic standards and HACCP compliance.
• Oversee recipe maintenance, accurate costing, and the development of new dishes and products.
• Collaborate with the Food & Beverage Director to create value‑for‑money menus aligned with corporate guidelines.
• Lead staff training, performance appraisals, and talent development initiatives, acting as a Talent Development Ambassador.
• Control departmental profit by planning staffing levels, budgeting, and cost control measures.
• Ensure comprehensive product knowledge of ingredients, equipment, suppliers, and market trends.
• Maintain up‑to‑date hotel policies, procedures, and documentation.

Required profile

• Proven experience as an Executive Chef or equivalent senior culinary leadership role.
• Demonstrated ability to maintain high HACCP standards and deliver consistent food quality.
• Strong track record in menu creation, cost control, and profitability management.
• Commitment to staff development, with experience in training, coaching, and talent mobility.
• Excellent knowledge of current culinary trends, ingredients, and equipment.
