Executive Housekeeper

About the role

The Executive Housekeeper leads the housekeeping department of Novotel Cairo Airport hotel, ensuring a safe, clean and welcoming environment for all guests. This senior position combines operational oversight, quality control, team development and cost management.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with hotel policies, hygiene standards, workplace safety and sanitation procedures for brand audits, HACCP inspections and internal quality assessments.
• Coordinate daily operations across all housekeeping sections, working closely with Front Office, Engineering and Pest Control to resolve defects and monitor room status.
• Maintain high guest satisfaction scores related to cleanliness, especially for VIP rooms, long‑stay guests and special events.
• Plan manpower based on occupancy, promote teamwork, discipline and a positive work culture.
• Control housekeeping expenses, supplies and inventory while supporting cost‑saving and sustainability initiatives.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of leadership experience in hotel housekeeping.
• Strong leadership, communication and organisational abilities.
• High integrity and a proactive, innovative mindset.

Required skills

• Knowledge of HACCP standards.
• Experience with pest control procedures.
• Familiarity with brand audit processes.
• Understanding of sustainability actions in hospitality.
