Executive Housekeeper

About the role

The Executive Housekeeper leads daily housekeeping, recreation/health club and laundry operations (when applicable) for a hotel property in Cairo. Reporting to senior management, the role ensures guest rooms, public areas and employee spaces are clean, well‑maintained, and meet brand standards while controlling costs and enhancing guest satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily housekeeping shift activities, coordinate with Front Desk and Engineering to communicate room status and maintenance needs.
• Manage cleaning schedules, assign work based on room turnover lists, and maintain inventory of supplies, linens and uniforms.
• Oversee departmental budgeting, monitor controllable expenses, and contribute to financial reporting.
• Handle guest complaints, drive service improvements, and empower staff to deliver exceptional hospitality.
• Participate in HR functions such as staffing, accident investigations, and enforcement of policies and disciplinary procedures.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED with at least 2 years of housekeeping or related experience, **or** a 2‑year degree in Hotel & Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or a related field (no experience required).
• Proven ability to lead a team, manage budgets and maintain high standards of cleanliness.
• Strong communication skills and a customer‑focused mindset.
