External Quarries & Additives Lead

About the role

The External Quarries & Additives Lead will oversee the clay quarry and additives operations for the Sokhna plant, ensuring a reliable supply of high‑quality raw materials to support production. This senior position combines health‑and‑safety stewardship, operational management, and strategic coordination with internal teams and external partners.

Key responsibilities

• Enforce all relevant HSE legislation, company policies and standards; maintain a safe working environment at all times.
• Lead the quarry operations team to meet production plans, control material quantity and quality, and extend quarry life.
• Supervise subcontractors to secure material supply at minimum cost and on schedule.
• Collaborate with planning to research and develop new quarry sites, improving material quality and reducing expenses.
• Manage licences and relationships with governmental and military authorities to guarantee long‑term raw‑material availability.
• Drive continuous quality‑improvement initiatives through Quality Circle activities.
• Prepare accurate, timely reports for senior management and present findings in regular cross‑department meetings.
• Provide on‑the‑job training and instruction for new and existing staff.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing quarry or mining operations, preferably in the cement or aggregates sector.
• Strong knowledge of HSE regulations and ability to obtain required competencies.
• Demonstrated ability to lead teams, supervise subcontractors, and coordinate with external authorities.
• Excellent analytical and reporting skills, with a focus on data‑driven decision making.
• Effective communication skills for cross‑functional collaboration.
