EYFS Teacher – Early Years (Ages 3-5)

About the role

The school is seeking an enthusiastic EYFS Teacher to deliver the English National Curriculum to children aged 3‑5. You will create a play‑based learning environment that fosters curiosity, confidence and academic progress.

Key responsibilities

• Teach across the curriculum for EYFS students (ages 3‑5).
• Develop, maintain and stimulate students' curiosity and enjoyment in learning through play‑based activities.
• Plan lessons that challenge pupils and ensure high levels of interest and achievement.
• Use effective questioning and Assessment for Learning techniques.
• Write schemes of work and maintain documentation.
• Mark and monitor pupils' work, regularly setting targets for progress.
• Assess and record pupils' progress systematically.
• Prepare and present informative reports to parents.
• Maintain effective communication with colleagues and parents.
• Participate in up to two extra‑curricular activities weekly.
• Contribute to whole‑school planning activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor's Degree.
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS); newly qualified teachers are welcome.
• Experience teaching EYFS preferred.
• Experience delivering the English National Curriculum EYFS framework preferred.
• Excellent subject knowledge.
• Ability to develop a stimulating and engaging classroom environment.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Team player with a sense of humour.
• Resilient, adaptable and flexible.
• Committed to continuing professional development.
