Facilities Supervisor – Cleaning, Technical & Security

About the role

The Facilities Supervisor will lead the daily operations of cleaning, technical, and security teams in a mixed‑use environment. You will own the preventive maintenance calendar, ensure compliance with safety standards, and act as the first responder for on‑site incidents.

Key responsibilities

• Execute the preventive maintenance (PPM) calendar and maintain operational control logs for cleaning, technical, and security functions.
• Run daily shift handovers, monitor staffing levels, and ensure delivery against contracted targets.
• Drive closure of snag‑list and life‑safety punch‑list items, escalating only genuine exceptions.
• Chair daily and weekly stand‑up meetings with cleaning, technical, and security supervisors.
• Respond to equipment breakdowns, safety events, and security incidents according to escalation protocols.
• Supervise contractor and subcontractor work orders, including Permit‑to‑Work sign‑off.
• Conduct regular inspections of technical rooms (transformer, LV, generator, roof plant, pump rooms) and record plant‑room readings.
• Prepare operational data for the monthly facilities management report to senior management.
• Support the Head of Facilities in developing SOPs, PPM schedules, and KPI/SLA frameworks.

Required profile

• Minimum 7 years of experience in facilities or operations management.
• Proven ability to manage multi‑discipline teams (cleaning, MEP, security) simultaneously.
• Experience with mixed‑use retail/commercial, shopping mall, or large corporate office assets.
• Background in vendor‑to‑in‑house transitions or new‑site FM team mobilization.
• Fluent in Arabic and English, both spoken and written.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Preferred IFMA CFM credential or Engineers Syndicate registration.

Required skills

• Preventive Maintenance (PPM) planning and execution.
• MEP systems knowledge (HVAC/VRV, electrical, plumbing).
• Fire alarm, sprinkler and firefighting system expertise.
• Generator and transformer operation and monitoring.
• Permit‑to‑Work procedures and safety compliance.
• Technical inspection of transformer, LV, generator, roof plant, and pump rooms.
