FF&E Estimator – Cost Estimation for Furniture & Interior Décor

About the role

The FF&E Estimator will prepare accurate cost estimates for Furniture, Fixtures & Equipment packages, covering loose and built‑in furniture, decorative lighting, accessories, soft furnishings, artwork and interior décor. The role supports the sales and tendering process by analysing drawings, specifications, BOQs and vendor quotations.

Key responsibilities

• Study tender documents, drawings, BOQs and specifications related to FF&E packages.
• Perform quantity take‑offs and prepare material/product take‑offs for all FF&E items.
• Obtain and evaluate quotations from local and international suppliers, calculating product costs, freight, customs duties, installation and logistics.
• Coordinate with suppliers, procurement, design and project teams to validate specifications and pricing.
• Prepare detailed cost sheets, estimation summaries and pricing comparisons.
• Support commercial offer preparation and tender submissions.
• Provide value‑engineering alternatives while maintaining design intent and quality.
• Maintain an up‑to‑date cost database for FF&E products, suppliers and market pricing.

Required profile

• 3–7 years of experience in FF&E estimation, interior fit‑out, hospitality projects, furniture procurement or related fields.
• Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Interior Design, Architecture, Civil Engineering, Industrial Design, Furniture Design or a related discipline.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of FF&E products and specifications.
• Ability to read architectural, interior design and furniture layout drawings.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced).
• Experience with AutoCAD.
• Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP or similar.
• Experience using estimation software.
