About the role

The Field Engineering Program – Controls is an entry‑level position within GE Vernova’s FieldCore team. Participants enroll in a structured Field Engineering Program (FEP) that combines classroom training, online modules, and on‑the‑job learning under experienced Technical Field Advisors. Graduates become Technical Field Advisors who travel to customer sites to install, maintain, and support industrial power‑generation rotating equipment such as gas and steam turbines.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate site activities for equipment installation and maintenance.
• Perform on‑site installation, preventive maintenance, repair, and calibration of power‑generation systems.
• Respond to emergency repair requests and troubleshoot problematic equipment.
• Provide technical instruction to customer representatives on operation, calibration, and maintenance.
• Prepare technical reports, order materials, obtain quotations, and generate job status updates.

Required profile

• Entry‑level candidate with a strong technical background.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical, mechanical flow, and instrument diagrams.
• Understanding of safety and environmental policies and commitment to EHS standards.
• Willingness to travel frequently to customer sites.
