Finance Supervisor

About the role

Decima International, a professional services firm providing project management and controls services to clients in the United States and the Middle East, is looking for a detail-oriented Finance Supervisor in Cairo. The role oversees day-to-day finance and accounting activities, ensuring accurate, timely and compliant financial operations, and works closely with Operations and other departments.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily accounting activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, general ledger and account reconciliations
• Review accounting team output for accuracy, completeness and timeliness
• Coordinate month-end and year-end closing, review journal entries, reconciliations and supporting schedules
• Support financial controls, accounting procedures, tax compliance, audits and documentation
• Prepare periodic financial and management reports, and support budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis
• Monitor project costs, resource utilization, spending and profitability, and track cash flow, working capital and liquidity needs
• Support banking, payment processing and treasury documentation, and coordinate with Operations on budgets and payments
• Guide accounting team members, maintain controls and documentation standards, and escalate significant issues

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting
• Progressive experience in finance and accounting, including supervising or reviewing accounting team members
• Experience with financial closing, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis
• Experience supporting tax compliance and external audits
• Strong financial analysis, accuracy, organization and deadline management

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of financial accounting and general ledger processes
• Good understanding of cash-flow and working-capital management
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Experience with QuickBooks or equivalent accounting software
• Preferred: CPA, CMA or progress toward a recognized qualification; ERP experience; dashboard development; project-cost analysis; professional services background
