About the role
Reporting to the General Manager, you will lead the Food & Beverage operation of a five‑star hotel, overseeing the restaurant, bar, in‑room dining and events. This hands‑on role blends strategic planning with day‑to‑day service delivery to create memorable guest experiences.
Key responsibilities
- Directly operate F&B outlets, engage with guests and support the team to maintain high service standards.
- Coordinate with other hotel departments to ensure clear communication and swift problem‑solving.
- Manage conferences and events, ensuring smooth execution.
- Handle rostering, coaching, cost control, inventory management and prepare performance reports for senior management.
Required profile
- Proven leadership and problem‑solving abilities with excellent written and verbal communication.
- Ability to motivate and develop a diverse team.
- Willingness to work varied shifts, including early mornings, evenings, weekends and public holidays.
- Current Responsible Service of Alcohol and Food Handler qualifications.
- Full working rights in Australia; no sponsorship available.
- Minimum 2 years experience in a similar role within five‑star hotels and at least 3 years in an international hotel chain.
Required skills
- Knowledge of H+L point of sale (POS) system.
