General English Instructor (CELTA criteria)

About the role

SYE English Community is seeking enthusiastic General English Instructors to deliver interactive, practical English lessons to adult learners across its Dokki, October, Nasr City and Maadi branches. The position can be full‑time, part‑time or freelance, offering flexibility while contributing to the community’s mission of empowering individuals through effective communication and personal development.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging English language classes for adult students.
• Apply CELTA‑based methodologies to ensure lessons are interactive and outcome‑focused.
• Prepare teaching materials and adapt lessons to diverse proficiency levels.
• Assess learner progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Maintain a positive classroom environment that encourages participation.
• Collaborate with fellow instructors to continuously improve the curriculum.
• Participate in regular staff meetings and professional development activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• Minimum of one year teaching experience, preferably in academies or training centres.
• Familiarity with CELTA criteria; a teaching certificate is a plus.
• Strong presentation skills.
• Demonstrated ability to engage adult learners.
