GL Accountant Professional

About the role

EVA Pharma, a leading pharmaceutical company, is looking for a GL Accountant Professional to join its finance team in Giza. The role covers general ledger maintenance, month-end closing and reconciliation, and supports financial reporting and audits.

Key responsibilities

• Perform monthly related parties' reconciliation and resolve intercompany differences to facilitate group consolidation.
• Ensure accounting records comply with IFRS and maintain accurate general ledger accounts and supporting documentation.
• Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations and investigate variances.
• Prepare and post monthly accrual entries and monitor prepaid expenses amortization monthly.
• Support monthly, quarterly and annual financial closing activities.
• Assist in financial reporting and support internal and external audit requirements while following internal control policies.
• Help trace and investigate ERP account mapping errors and coordinate with the ERP team to resolve them.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Professional certification such as CPA, ACCA or IFRS Diploma preferred.
• 4-7 years of experience in accounting or financial reporting, preferably in an audit firm, multinational company or group structure.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of IFRS.
• General ledger accounting, balance sheet reconciliations, accruals and financial closing.
• ERP systems, preferably Oracle EBS, SAP or similar.
