GL Senior Accountant

About the role

Hyde Park Developments is looking for a GL Senior Accountant in New Cairo City. The role supports the GL team in managing month-end closings, reconciliations and financial analysis, ensuring timely and accurate financial statements.

Key responsibilities

• Support the daily operations of the GL team, ensuring transactions are posted on time and accurately.
• Oversee the month-end closing process so that entries are recorded, reconciled and closed within the timeline.
• Review and verify journal entries, account reconciliations and financial reports.
• Monitor the integrity of financial data and ensure compliance with accounting policies and regulations.
• Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements.
• Coordinate with internal and external auditors and provide the required documentation.
• Support finance and operations teams on GL queries and issues.
• Help implement process improvements and assist in developing accounting policies and procedures.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• 2-4 years of experience in accounting and financial statements.
• Strong knowledge of general accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.

Required skills

• Proficiency in accounting software such as Oracle and SAP, and MS Office.
• Ability to prepare financial statements under IFRS and strong operational knowledge of IFRS.
