Head Waiter

About the role

Amphoras Hotels is seeking an experienced Head Waiter to lead the restaurant service team at its Sharm El‑Sheikh property. This full‑time, on‑site position ensures guests receive prompt, courteous, and high‑quality service throughout their dining experience.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the service team, assigning sections and managing workflow.
• Oversee table setup, order taking, food and beverage delivery, and clearing to maintain service standards.
• Monitor hygiene and safety procedures, ensuring compliance with hotel policies.
• Assist with staff training, coaching, and performance feedback.
• Handle guest feedback, special requests, and resolve service issues in collaboration with kitchen and bar teams.
• Participate in shift planning, stock control for service items, and maintain a clean, welcoming environment.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a senior or supervisory waiter, preferably in a 4‑ or 5‑star hotel or high‑volume restaurant.
• Strong customer‑facing abilities with excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure during peak service times.
• Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays as required.
• Good command of English; additional languages are a plus.

Required skills

• Solid knowledge of Food & Beverage operations, including menu items and pairing suggestions.
• Basic cooking knowledge to facilitate communication with kitchen staff.
