Health, Safety & Wellbeing Manager – MENA (Fixed‑term Maternity Cover)

About the role

Danone MENA is seeking a Health, Safety and Wellbeing Manager on a fixed‑term maternity cover to lead the safety agenda across the Middle East and North Africa. Based in Cairo, you will shape strategy, ensure compliance with global standards and foster a strong safety culture for over 500 employees and external partners.

Key responsibilities

• Build MENA compliance with Danone’s global health, safety and wellbeing standards.
• Review and adapt the safety roadmap to regional needs and ambitions.
• Promote a safety‑first mindset and encourage incident reporting among all staff.
• Design and implement wellbeing and engagement programmes for Danoners.
• Plan, deliver and lead safety training sessions across the region.
• Develop safety awareness programmes for distributors, warehouse teams and other external stakeholders.
• Report, close and analyse incidents in the Sphera system on a monthly basis.
• Conduct audits, assessments and drive improvement actions based on findings.

Required profile

• 2‑4 years of experience managing health, safety and wellbeing initiatives.
• Bachelor’s degree in science, business administration or a related field.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, and stakeholder‑management abilities.
• Motivated, proactive and passionate about driving safety culture.
