High School English Teacher

About the role

SABIS® is seeking a dedicated High School English Teacher to join its global network of schools. You will deliver the SABIS® curriculum, support student achievement, and contribute to a vibrant learning environment.

Key responsibilities

• Teach English classes using provided lesson plans or develop plans based on pacing charts.
• Mark exams and assessments according to departmental schedules.
• Discuss disciplinary and performance issues with the Academic Quality Controller and Head of Department.
• Implement the SABIS® Point System to maintain a conducive classroom environment.
• Proctor exams and ensure proper test conditions.
• Provide guidance and motivation to low‑performing students.
• Assist with external exam preparation and revision schedules.
• Support school operations such as testing, substitute teaching, student logistics, and administrative duties.
• Participate in student life activities, coordinating with the Student Life Coordinator.
• Attend training sessions to deepen understanding of the SABIS® system.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or equivalent.
• Proficiency in English.
• Minimum of 1 year of teaching experience.
• Professional behavior and ethical conduct.
• Commitment to delivering results and continuous improvement.
• Accountability and ownership of responsibilities.
• Excellent communication skills.
