About the role
The HR Operations Lead is a hands‑on position responsible for end‑to‑end HR operational activities across Egypt. You will own the full payroll cycle, employee lifecycle, and office management while ensuring strict compliance with Egyptian labour laws.
Key responsibilities
- Manage the complete monthly payroll process, from timesheet collection to salary disbursement, including overtime, allowances, bonuses and deductions.
- Perform gross‑to‑net calculations, handle social insurance contributions and income‑tax withholding, and maintain auditable payroll records.
- Oversee total rewards operations and employee benefits such as health insurance and social insurance.
- Operate government portals, submit mandatory reports on schedule, and stay updated on changes to Egyptian labour legislation.
- Lead HR operational processes: onboarding, off‑boarding, contract renewals, employee records, leave administration and master data management in the HRIS.
- Provide first‑line support for HR policy queries, timesheet issues and system problems, handling employee complaints confidentially.
- Manage day‑to‑day office operations, procurement of supplies, vendor relationships, travel logistics and petty‑cash administration.
Required profile
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance or a related field.
- Professional HR certifications (e.g., CIPD, PHRi, SHRM) are a strong advantage.
- 5+ years of progressive, hands‑on experience in HR operations, payroll and total rewards.
