HR Operations Manager – Manufacturing Plant

About the role

The HR Operations Manager will lead core HR operational functions for a manufacturing plant, ensuring accurate payroll processing, seamless personnel administration, reliable HRIS data, effective benefits delivery, and strict compliance with labour regulations. The role works closely with Finance and plant leadership to support efficient workforce operations and continuous process improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee end‑to‑end payroll processing, attendance, overtime, shift allowances and deductions while ensuring legal compliance.
• Manage employee personnel records, onboarding, contracts, transfers, promotions, disciplinary actions and terminations.
• Administer and maintain HRIS data integrity, generate reports, dashboards and workforce analytics.
• Coordinate employee benefits programs, liaise with external providers and support employee communications.
• Develop and improve HR operational procedures, ensure compliance with labour laws and support internal/external audits.
• Act as the primary escalation point for HR operational issues and provide high‑quality service to plant employees and supervisors.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field.
• 10–13 years of HR experience with strong exposure to payroll, personnel administration, HRIS and benefits management.
• Previous experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment is strongly preferred.
• In‑depth knowledge of labour legislation, tax regulations and social insurance requirements.
• Proven ability to lead process optimisation and drive operational efficiency.
