HSE Manager

About the role

We are looking for a motivated HSE Manager to lead health, safety and environmental compliance across our manufacturing and maintenance operations. You will develop and implement robust HSE policies, drive a proactive safety culture and support our carbon‑neutrality and sustainability objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct inspections, safety tours and audits on production lines, assembly areas and maintenance workshops.
• Ensure ongoing compliance with Egyptian HSE legal requirements and international standards.
• Prepare fire risk assessments, operational plans and manage fire protection equipment.
• Implement and maintain the HSE Management System aligned with ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and Hitachi Energy global standards.
• Perform risk assessments (ABRA), LSR self‑assessments and environmental aspect/impact assessments.
• Provide technical guidance on machinery safety standards and hazardous materials management.
• Compile non‑conformities, drive corrective actions and close NCRs.
• Deliver induction and job‑specific HSE training for employees and contractors.
• Investigate incidents and near‑misses, produce reports and implement preventive actions.
• Support the factory’s carbon‑neutrality program and sustainability initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in science or engineering.
• 10‑12 years of HSE experience in industrial settings.
• NEBOSH IGC certification and recognized HSE certificates.
• Proficiency in spoken and written English.
• Strong knowledge of Egyptian HSE legal requirements.

Required skills

• ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 implementation.
• NEBOSH IGC certification.
• Risk assessment methodologies (ABRA, LSR).
• Fire risk assessment and fire protection equipment knowledge.
