HSE Project Manager

About the role

The HSE Project Manager will lead the project HSE team to develop, implement and maintain HSE management systems that meet local and national regulations for assigned construction projects. You will act as the primary liaison between the project, consultants, clients and authorities to ensure safety and environmental compliance throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Area HSE Manager in assessing project HSE standards and overall compliance.
• Coordinate with consultants and clients on HSE issues and ensure corrective actions are taken.
• Monitor HSE team performance, enforce adherence to the HSE Management System and project‑specific HSE plans.
• Develop, review and enforce risk assessments and method statements for all operational activities.
• Organise and lead site HSE walks, committee meetings and monthly safety audits.
• Audit project compliance with ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and other legal requirements; report findings and drive corrective actions.
• Manage incident reporting, investigation and communication with local authorities.
• Ensure subcontractors follow Innovo HSE rules and coordinate training for site staff.
• Collect monthly safety statistics and submit reports to the HSE Director.

Required profile

• HSE degree or diploma.
• Minimum 10 years (120 months) of experience in HSE management within construction or industrial projects.
• Proven ability to lead HSE teams and manage large‑scale safety programs.
• Experience liaising with clients, consultants and government authorities.
