Human Resources Director

About the role

The Human Resources Director will shape and execute the organization’s human capital strategy, aligning people initiatives with the overall business plan and long‑term vision. Reporting directly to the CEO, this senior leader will act as a trusted advisor on all people‑related matters.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive HR strategy that supports the company’s mission and objectives.
• Advise the CEO and Executive Leadership Team on talent, culture, and organizational issues.
• Lead talent acquisition across executive, corporate, operational, guest services, and support functions.
• Drive culture‑building and employee‑engagement programs.
• Design and oversee learning and development initiatives.
• Create a robust performance‑management framework.
• Manage competitive compensation and benefits programs.
• Maintain positive employee‑relations and ensure compliance with labor laws.
• Mentor and develop the HR team.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in human resources or management.
• Minimum 20 years of progressive HR experience, including at least 10 years in senior HR leadership.
• Proven experience leading HR functions in multi‑site operations.
• Background in hospitality, tourism, entertainment, leisure, recreational facilities, wildlife parks, zoological institutions, or large service organizations is preferred.
• Demonstrated success managing organizational growth and transformation initiatives.
