Industrial Safety Officer

About the role

The Industrial Safety Officer is responsible for protecting the hotel’s assets, guests, and staff from fire, natural disasters, and occupational hazards. You will lead safety training, coordinate emergency response teams, and ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Implement fire prevention measures and train employees on emergency procedures.
• Collaborate with the chief engineer on safety‑related issues.
• Conduct audits of hazardous waste and industrial sites and participate in investigations.
• Develop and deliver safety training programs for new and existing staff.
• Manage “right‑to‑know” communication regarding hazardous chemicals.
• Inspect workplace environments, equipment, and practices to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Investigate accidents and health‑related complaints to identify root causes and preventive actions.
• Maintain emergency response plans, hazardous material inventories, and waste tracking systems.
• Recommend protective measures for workers and oversee the handling of hazardous, radioactive, and mixed waste.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of occupational health and safety standards and regulations.
• Experience conducting safety audits and investigations.
• Ability to develop and deliver effective training sessions.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Good communication skills to coordinate with engineering and operational teams.
