Infrastructure & IT Operations Director

About the role

The Infrastructure & IT Operations Director will shape and execute the technology operations strategy, ensuring it aligns with business goals and industry standards. This senior leader will oversee infrastructure, application support, and service desk functions to deliver secure, reliable, and cost‑effective services.

Key responsibilities

• Define and implement the IT Operations and Infrastructure strategy in line with business objectives and best practices.
• Lead IT Infrastructure, Application Support, and Service Desk teams to ensure service availability, performance, security, and compliance.
• Build and enhance Tier 2 and Tier 3 support capabilities, managing escalations and knowledge transfer.
• Drive digital transformation, automation, and continuous service improvement.
• Oversee incident, problem, and crisis management processes.
• Lead strategic planning, architecture evolution, and technology road‑maps.
• Manage budgets, vendor relationships, and service provider performance.
• Establish operational KPIs, governance controls, and risk management practices.
• Develop high‑performing teams and foster a culture of accountability and collaboration.
• Partner with business stakeholders, regional and Group IT teams, and external partners to support organizational priorities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT or related field; Master’s or MBA preferred.
• At least 15 years of experience in IT infrastructure, operations or application support, including senior leadership roles.
• Proven track record of managing large IT teams and budgets.
• Strong analytical, strategic thinking and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management and team development skills.

Required skills

• ITIL Foundation certification
• Deep knowledge of IT infrastructure and service management
• Understanding of cybersecurity principles and information security frameworks
• Familiarity with emerging technology trends and digital transformation initiatives
