Installation Engineer

About the role

KONE, a global leader in the elevator and escalator industry, is looking for an Installation Engineer in Cairo. You will support the safe, high-quality and timely installation of KONE equipment, coordinate day-to-day site activities and keep effective communication with customers, contractors and internal teams.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the equipment installation environment and handle day-to-day on-site communication with customers about installation and logistics.
• Coordinate with site stakeholders to keep installation progressing smoothly.
• Ensure equipment is installed safely and on time according to KONE methods and safety requirements, and report progress to the Installation Supervisor.
• Report shortages or damaged materials so replacement parts can be requested promptly.
• Keep installation tools and equipment safe and in good working condition, and ensure delivered equipment is stored, handled and secured on site.
• Coordinate with the builder and other stakeholders to minimise interruptions, and maintain a safe working environment in installation and storage areas.
• Stay familiar with installation manuals, procedures and field updates.
• Receive and check materials, carry out installations according to methods, instructions and schedules, and submit timekeeping, quality feedback and material warranty claims.
• Provide feedback to improve products and installation processes.
• Work with supervisors, technicians, helpers and contractors, and give guidance, training or coaching to trainees and helpers when required.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
• 1-2 years of relevant experience, preferably in installation, construction, elevators and escalators or a similar technical/site environment.
• Good understanding of electrical and mechanical systems.
• Strong commitment to safety and quality.
• Ability to work in a site-based environment, organise work, follow installation schedules and meet deadlines.
