Instructor of Psychology (Faculty Position)

About the role
The Department of Psychology at Louisiana State University of Alexandria is seeking an Instructor of Psychology to begin in August 2026. The position welcomes candidates from any psychology specialty, with a preference for those able to teach a range of general courses such as Introduction to Psychology, Developmental Psychology, Statistics for the Behavioral and Social Sciences, Ethics, and other area‑specific classes.
Key responsibilities
- Teach a full 5‑course load each semester, including on‑campus, hybrid, and online formats.
- Maintain regular office hours for student advising.
- Participate in departmental and university committees.
- Engage in community service activities.
- Optionally teach summer or overload courses based on departmental needs.
Required profile
- Master’s degree in Psychology or a closely related field.
- Demonstrated ability to teach a variety of undergraduate psychology courses.
- Commitment to using technology in course delivery.
- Willingness to contribute to departmental service and governance.
