Internal Control Lead

About the role

We are seeking an Internal Control Lead to establish and maintain a robust internal control environment across sales, factories, warehouses, farms, corporate functions and business services. The role will drive risk mitigation, ensure process reliability and align operations with Group Internal Control standards while providing leadership to the internal control team.

Key responsibilities

• Deploy the Group Internal Control Framework and regional risk‑based methodology, communicating roles and expectations to business process owners.
• Lead risk assessment exercises, produce high‑quality internal control reports and present risk priorities to senior management.
• Oversee annual internal control testing, review test documentation, identify deficiencies and ensure effective remediation.
• Partner with operational functions to redesign processes, embed controls in digital transformation projects and support continuous improvement programs.
• Act as primary contact for internal and external auditors, manage audit fieldwork and monitor implementation of audit recommendations.
• Develop a strong control culture through training, awareness sessions and cross‑country knowledge sharing.
• Investigate incidents such as stock discrepancies or fraud suspicions, providing recommendations and overseeing corrective actions.
• Liaise with the Corporate Internal Control team in France and Group Internal Audit on governance and risk topics.

Required profile

• Proven experience in internal control, risk management or internal audit within a multi‑site organization.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to guide a team and influence senior management.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management abilities.
• Analytical mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and process optimisation.
• Experience coordinating internal and external audit activities.
