About the role
The United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN‑Habitat) in Egypt is seeking an intern to support its Basic Services and Climate Change programme. The role is based in Cairo and offers hands‑on experience in sustainable mobility, climate adaptation, and water‑sanitation projects.
Key responsibilities
- Assist with field testing of the Cairo Bike project, including weekly site visits and documentation.
- Coordinate with the Cairo Governorate, private operators, and NGOs.
- Support the development of concept notes, conduct research, and carry out stakeholder interviews.
- Draft visibility and communication plans and help organise events.
- Collect and process data, conduct literature and market reviews.
- Prepare meeting minutes, agendas, and proofread programme documents.
- Create and update presentations in English and Arabic.
