Inventory Controller – Finance (East Owainat Plant)

About the role

The Inventory Controller ensures that physical stock counts match system records, investigates discrepancies, and implements controls to minimise variances and losses. This role supports smooth production and order fulfilment in a fast‑moving consumer goods (FMCG) environment.

Key responsibilities

• Track and record all inventory movements in the ERP or warehouse management system, including receipts, transfers and dispatches.
• Enter or verify transactions promptly to maintain real‑time stock accuracy.
• Review daily inventory transactions, flag irregularities and coordinate regular cycle counts and full physical inventories.
• Plan cycle‑count schedules based on risk (high‑value or fast‑moving items) and lead counting teams using RF scanners.
• Investigate and reconcile discrepancies, analysing transaction histories and delivery records to identify root causes.
• Prepare variance reports with explanations and recommendations for corrective actions.
• Enforce FIFO/FEFO procedures, ensure proper batch/lot tracking and provide training on inventory protocols.
• Analyse inventory data to produce KPI reports (accuracy, shrinkage, turnover, slow‑moving stock) and present findings to management.
• Monitor inventory levels against safety‑stock targets and support auditors during stock audits.

Required profile

• Experience in inventory control within an FMCG or high‑turnover environment.
• Familiarity with ERP/WMS systems and cycle‑count methodologies.
• Understanding of FIFO/FEFO principles and batch/lot traceability.
• Ability to analyse variance data and produce clear reports.
