Isolation Valves Application Engineer

About the role

The Application Engineer will act as the technical focal point for Emerson's isolation valve and actuation product portfolio across Saudi Arabia and Bahrain. Working closely with the outside sales team, you will provide expert advice, qualify quotations, and ensure customers receive reliable, compliant solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Qualify customer RFQs, rejecting incomplete or non‑compliant requests.
• Lead and support the West region application engineers to meet strategic goals.
• Prepare accurate, timely quotations using Oracle CPQ and maintain CRM data integrity.
• Convert MRO replacement enquiries into value‑added solution opportunities.
• Collaborate with factories and Business Development Managers to improve local quoting capability.
• Hand over orders to the order management team with complete documentation and attend kickoff meetings.
• Achieve KPI targets for quote response time, hit ratio, and service levels.
• Ensure compliance with Emerson trade‑compliance procedures and the Quality Management System.
• Apply risk‑based thinking to identify and mitigate risks in technical solutions.
• Participate in continuous‑improvement initiatives and support internal audits.

Required profile

• Technical advisor with deep knowledge of isolation valves and actuator technologies.
• Ability to work collaboratively with sales, engineering, and quality teams.
• Strong customer‑focus and commitment to delivering compliant solutions.
• Authority to recommend technical alternatives and enforce compliance standards.

Required skills

• Experience with Oracle CPQ quotation system.
• Proficiency in CRM data management and win/loss analysis.
• Knowledge of API 609 product conformity standards.
• Understanding of pneumatic, hydraulic, electric and electro‑hydraulic actuators.
