IT Officer

About the role

The IT Officer will oversee and support the foundation’s information technology infrastructure, systems, applications and daily operations, ensuring efficient, secure and uninterrupted business processes for the Aga Khan Foundation in Aswan.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and monitor the annual IT budget and ensure effective use of resources.
• Draft terms of reference and technical specifications for IT solutions and coordinate procurement with the finance team.
• Manage and maintain hardware, software, servers, databases and network systems, guaranteeing security and operational availability.
• Implement and monitor backup, recovery and disaster‑recovery procedures for all critical applications.
• Identify, evaluate and recommend appropriate IT technologies to meet organisational needs.
• Provide user support, training and coordinate with external vendors for service delivery.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience in managing IT infrastructure within an organization.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a non‑profit environment and communicate technical concepts to non‑technical staff.
