IT Security Advisor – Remote Full‑Time

About the role

VeraSafe is seeking a remote IT Security Advisor to support a diverse portfolio of clients with privacy, data‑protection and cybersecurity consulting. You will work as a fractional CISO, helping organisations design, implement and manage their security programs, with a focus on Microsoft 365 environments.

Key responsibilities

• Manage client relationships and deliver consulting projects, including fractional‑CISO engagements.
• Perform Microsoft 365 hardening, configuration audits and comprehensive risk assessments.
• Provide strategic direction for incident response, breach containment and post‑incident review.
• Lead security assessments, architecture reviews, policy drafting and remediation planning.
• Develop and improve internal service delivery methodologies, documentation and quality‑control processes.

Required profile

• Strong background in cybersecurity consulting or related IT security roles.
• Experience delivering security projects for varied clients, preferably in a remote setting.
• Excellent communication skills for written reports and executive briefings.
