IT Support Engineer – Workplace Technology

About the role

We are looking for an IT Support Engineer focused on Workplace Technology to ensure reliable, secure, and efficient technology services across Chalhoub Group’s offices and retail environments in Cairo. The role combines hands‑on technical support with vendor and stakeholder management to maintain high service standards.

Key responsibilities

• Provide first‑line support for POS systems, inventory management, PCs, printers, phones, barcode scanners and related applications in retail shops.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues on Windows, macOS, iOS, Android, handheld devices, and conferencing platforms such as Zoom and Microsoft Teams.
• Maintain connectivity tools including VPN, broadband, 5G, LAN/WAN and Wi‑Fi networks.
• Conduct planned preventative maintenance with external vendors to address recurring issues.
• Oversee vendor performance, ensuring compliance with KPIs and SLAs for IT, AV, telephony and print infrastructure.
• Collaborate with Service Desk, NOC, Network Engineering and Service Operations teams.
• Ensure compliance with risk, security and change management policies and produce regular operational reports.

Required profile

• Proactive problem‑solver with strong hands‑on technical expertise.
• Ability to manage multiple vendors and coordinate with internal stakeholders.
• Experience working in a retail or multi‑site environment.
• Commitment to maintaining service level agreements and security standards.
