Italian Chef – Luxury Resort

About the role

Join the culinary team at Swissotel Sharm El Sheikh and lead the Italian kitchen in delivering high‑quality, authentic Italian dishes for our all‑inclusive resort guests. You will work closely with the Executive Chef to maintain standards of taste, presentation, hygiene, and cost efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Executive Chef in recruiting and training qualified Italian kitchen staff.
• Ensure cost, quality, hygiene, taste, and presentation of all Italian dishes meet resort standards.
• Maintain kitchen hygiene rules, including personal grooming standards.
• Coordinate with Sous Chefs and Section Chefs on Italian cuisine preparation.
• Monitor inventory, apply FIFO principles, and control food portions to minimize waste.
• Check daily provision vouchers and manage slow‑moving Italian ingredients.
• Prepare Italian menus considering budget, special events, and facility standards.
• Deliver training on Italian recipes, menu preparation, and food‑cost management.
• Regularly audit the food safety management system.

Required profile

• Proven experience in Italian cuisine within a hotel or resort environment.
• Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and hygiene standards.
• Ability to lead, motivate, and develop kitchen staff.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
