Junior Accountant

About the role

The Junior Accountant will support the accounting function by accurately recording financial transactions, maintaining organized data, and assisting in reporting and reconciliation processes. This position offers a structured environment to develop practical accounting knowledge while contributing to reliable financial information.

Key responsibilities

• Record and process daily journal entries in ERP systems, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Assist in maintaining accounts receivable and accounts payable records, including reconciliations and follow‑ups.
• Support the preparation of financial statements and reports in line with company policies and legal requirements.
• Update financial data in systems and databases to ensure traceability and availability.
• Assist in bank reconciliations, expense tracking, and basic financial controls.
• Collaborate with internal departments to verify and validate expense and transaction data.
• Prepare periodic reports (weekly/monthly) under the guidance of the senior accountant.
• Support audit preparation by organizing documents and ensuring proper record‑keeping.
• Perform ad‑hoc accounting tasks and projects as required.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• 1–3 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
• Good numerical and analytical abilities.
• Fluent in Arabic with basic working knowledge of English.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work in a process‑driven environment.
