Junior Lighting Designer

About the role

Ideolux, a leading LED lighting company, is seeking a creative Junior Lighting Designer to develop lighting concepts and technical layouts for project‑grade solutions. The role blends artistic vision with technical precision, supporting project teams from initial design through documentation.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare lighting design drawings, layouts, and schematics using Dialux Evo, AutoCAD or similar tools.
• Create 2D and 3D lighting visualisations and presentation materials for client reviews.
• Perform photometric calculations to ensure designs meet project specifications and efficiency standards.
• Select appropriate luminaires based on technical requirements and project constraints.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers and multidisciplinary project teams.
• Maintain compliance with lighting standards and keep project documentation up‑to‑date.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Architecture or a related discipline.
• 1–3 years of experience in lighting design or related drafting work.
• Strong understanding of lighting principles, photometrics and efficiency standards.
• Ability to work within UAE working hours (Monday‑Friday 9:00‑18:30, Saturday 9:30‑12:30).
