Junior Site Reliability Engineer

About the role

Sana Commerce, a B2B commerce platform serving manufacturers, distributors and wholesalers, is looking for a Junior Site Reliability Engineer to join its global infrastructure team in Alexandria. You will monitor systems, troubleshoot technical issues and provide first-line support to customers, working closely with experienced engineers. The role is hybrid, with three days in the office and two days from home.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor platform health and performance with tools such as Dynatrace, and respond to alerts and incidents such as traffic spikes, bot activity and high resource consumption.
• Provide first-line technical support by investigating and resolving customer issues raised through support tickets and calls.
• Support cloud infrastructure including Microsoft Azure, Windows Servers, Azure SQL and Kubernetes (AKS), and work with Fastly (WAF/CDN) to mitigate abnormal traffic and bot activity.
• Monitor, renew and troubleshoot SSL certificates to keep the platform secure.
• Develop scripts to automate routine tasks, contribute to technical documentation and support infrastructure projects such as cloud migrations and Azure optimisation.
• Work with the international infrastructure team, take part in scheduled shifts and paid weekend on-call rotations, and give clear updates on incidents.

Required profile

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Ideally 2-3 years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure infrastructure.
• Familiarity with Microsoft technologies such as Windows Server, DNS, IIS, MSSQL or Azure SQL.
• Basic understanding of containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes (AKS).
• Exposure to monitoring tools such as Dynatrace, Prometheus, Grafana, Nagios or Zabbix.
• Strong troubleshooting mindset, good communication skills and flexibility for shifts and on-call duty.
• Azure certifications such as AZ-900 or AZ-104 are a plus.
