Junior Software Engineer – BRAIN

About the role

Valeo is looking for a Junior Software Engineer to join its BRAIN R&D team. The role supports engineering projects, focusing on standard design tasks, documentation and data analysis within the automotive sector.

Key responsibilities

• Demonstrate budget awareness and optimize resource utilization for assigned tasks.
• Assist senior engineers in executing engineering projects at Newness level 1, applying existing design rules.
• Create and maintain technical documentation such as design specifications and test reports.
• Collect, analyse and report technical data to support decision‑making.
• Apply the discipline’s design processes and adhere to the digitalisation roadmap.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement of processes and methodologies.

Required profile

• 0‑2 years of experience in engineering activities, preferably in automotive or related industries.
• Basic understanding of engineering principles and industry standards.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Eagerness to learn and develop technical expertise.

Required skills

• Proficiency with computer‑aided design (CAD) tools.
