Junior Software Tester

About the role

Advansys is looking for a Junior Software Tester in Nasr City. You will design, develop and maintain automated test scripts for web-based applications and proprietary design tools, and work closely with developers, QA analysts and engineers.

Key responsibilities

• Select and implement automation tools: Selenium, Playwright and Cypress for UI testing, and Postman and REST Assured for API testing
• Use C# or Python to write and maintain automated test scripts
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines with the Release Architect and DevOps department
• Test CAD-like user interfaces and configuration workflows, and perform exploratory and regression testing, especially for cross-application integration
• Document defects with clear reproduction steps and help developers resolve them
• Share automation best practices with manual QA team members and generate and maintain test result reports

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field
• Proven experience in automation and manual testing
• ISTQB Foundation Level (FL) certification is mandatory
• Excellent written and spoken English, and ability to work with cross-cultural teams
• Ability to work evenings or weekends as needed

Required skills

• Familiarity with the SDLC; ISTQB FL certification
• Automation testing with Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, Postman and REST Assured
• Programming in C# or Python
• Basic understanding of non-functional testing (usability, performance, security) is a plus
• Willingness to learn mechanical and controls-related 2D/3D modelling software is a plus
