Laundry Attendant

About the role

The Laundry Attendant ensures that all linens, garments, and other textile items are cleaned, dried, and prepared to the highest standards for guest use at the Renaissance Sharm El Sheikh Golden View Beach Resort.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and monitor washing, dry‑cleaning, and drying machines, adding chemicals and cleaning lint traps as required.
• Identify stained or damaged items and decide whether to rewash, spot‑treat, repair, or discard.
• Inspect cleaned articles for quality, place them in clean linen carts, and fold them to designated sizes manually or with a folding machine.
• Set dryer times and temperatures according to fabric type and remove lint, debris, and filter residues after each load.
• Maintain accurate records of all items laundered.
• Follow all safety, security, and company policies, report accidents, and complete required safety training.
• Maintain a clean, professional appearance and protect confidential and company assets.
• Support team goals, communicate concerns, and suggest improvements for efficiency, quality, and cost‑savings.

Required profile

• No specific education or prior experience required.
• Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods and lift objects up to 25 lb without assistance.
• Capability to move through narrow, confined, or elevated spaces and navigate uneven or slippery surfaces.
• Willingness to follow all company policies, safety procedures, and uniform standards.

Required skills

• Operating laundry and dry‑cleaning equipment.
• Handling laundry chemicals safely.
• Accurate record‑keeping of processed items.
