Laundry Attendant

About the role

We are looking for a reliable Laundry Attendant to join our hotel team. You will be responsible for washing, ironing, and dry‑cleaning guest and staff linens while ensuring high standards of hygiene and timely delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Wash, iron and, when required, dry‑clean laundry according to supervisor instructions.
• Separate items by fabric type, colour and stain level and select appropriate washing cycles.
• Maintain and report any equipment breakdowns; perform basic maintenance on washers, dryers and laundry units.
• Label guest laundry with room numbers, check pockets, and return forgotten items.
• Prepare and charge laundry price lists in the Micros system and communicate undeliverable items to Front Office.
• Discard worn or torn items after recording them.
• Follow fire safety, hygiene and hotel procedures, including key and lost‑and‑found handling.

Required profile

• Minimum primary school diploma.
• At least 1 year of experience in hotel or commercial laundry operations.
• Reliability, good personal hygiene and uniform compliance.
• Ability to follow quality management and safety procedures.

Required skills

• Operating washing machines, dryers and ironing equipment.
• Dry‑cleaning techniques and stain treatment.
• Using the Micros point‑of‑sale system for billing.
