Laundry Attendant

About the role

The Laundry Attendant ensures that all linens, garments, and other textile items are cleaned, dried, and prepared to the highest standards for guest use. This full‑time, on‑site position supports the hotel's housekeeping operations by managing the laundry workflow efficiently and safely.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and monitor washing, dry‑cleaning, and drying machinery, adding chemicals as required.
• Clean lint traps, dryer screens, dry‑cleaning filters, and drain traps after each load.
• Identify stained or damaged items and decide on repair, spot‑treatment, rewash, or discard.
• Inspect cleaned articles for quality and place them in clean linen carts.
• Set dryer times and temperatures according to fabric specifications.
• Fold cleaned items by hand or using a folding machine to designated sizes.
• Maintain accurate records of all laundered items.
• Follow all safety, security, and company policies, reporting any accidents or unsafe conditions.

Required profile

• No specific education requirement (high school diploma or GED not mandatory).
• No prior related work experience required.
• No supervisory experience or licensing needed.
